Money given in Azerbaijan for overhaul of second road to run to Georgian border

Azerbaijan has allocated assignments for capital repairs of the second highway running to the Georgian border. The road also runs to the the junction of borders of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Russia and the old Georgian military highway.

Yesterday, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev ordered on additional measures concerning the capital repairs of highway M-5 Yevlakh - Zagatala - Georgian state border on section Zagatala-Balaken-Mazimchay (129th-164th km).

This 35 km road passes through the administrative area of two districts with 100,700 residents and connects 16 inhabited localities.

The State Budget will allocate AZN 24.6 million to state-governed road company Azeravtoyol for the above-listed works.
